we left "naz garden hotel" of "bogra" early to catch a bus to "pabna".we had to change bus at "hatikumrol" in "sirajgonj" to reach "kashikata" at "pabna".our guide tarikul recieved us a kashikata and we had another 1 hour journey to reach the "umani" river where our boat waiting to take us in "austamonisha" for a floating library.after photographs the library we headed towards "char vangura" near "natore" for floating school.the river is very beautiful, covered with green water and calm.we photographs the floating school and way back again with boat.
the small harbor where our boat reaches is picturesque place.people waiting under a big banyan tree for crossing the river. i used to read it in our text book during my childhood about this kind of picturesque very much bangladshi landscape.we are losing this landscape very fast.hope this place will remain the same forever without the touch of so called urbanization.
had our lunch in a open crops field before we take our bus to dhaka in the evening.

floating hospital
wake up at 6 a.m enjoying the beautiful river scape with some sailing boat plying on mighty Barmaputhra.it is rare these days to see sailing boat because of engine boat everywhere.
our "mother vessel" in charge mr.quddus trying to buy some fish from the fishermen in the river.
we finished our breakfast and waiting for the char people to come at floating hospital for treatment.
as the sun starts to shine people from the char village starts gathering near river bank.
people just keep coming when the hospital starts for serve.
most of the char people are very poor and can't afford to go other side of the river for treatment.
the emirates friendship hospital giving the free treatment and medicine for the poor people of char.
we photographed the procedure of the hospital before our way back at 12 noon.
we crossed the river with a boat and took our bus to Rangpur.shafiur and mashiur help us to get the bus as there is only one bus to reach in rangpur.we find another bus at Rangpur which take us to the Bogra town at night.David tumbling down from the bus when getting down at our hotel naz garden, fortunately he's all right except a little bruise in his hand.
very funny to see the 4 star sign on the hotel which is a big building but nothing lavish inside
but very expensive.find no reason why this kind of hotel established in such place?

"char" (island) life
wake up 6.30 in the morning after sleeping one of the quietest place that i've ever been.
the calmness of this place made me feel that i wish i never born in a civilized and noisy place.
after finishing our breakfast we started with a small boat towards "char- bajradiar khata".reached there at 7.30. our floating hospital "mother vessel" shifted to another place where we'll catch them later in the evening.
started shooting the char people and their lifestyle.few hundreds people live in this char and most of them related in jute cultivation.spending couple of hours there we returned our mother vessel which is 20 kilometers away stationed to another char.
after a quick lunch and the very special cha (tea) at our mother vessel me and David landed another char "shakha hati" a wonderful picturesque char with jute growing everywhere, shepherd grazing their cattle, farmers busy preparing jute and women amazed to see two alien(us)from outer space.
the whole char perfumed with the jute fragrance and i was loving the smell of jute all around. i picked a boy -shabuj- as our guide to roam around the whole char.
Day or two is nothing in this place for photography.would've been something if i get chance to shoot this place for couple of days.
walking with bare foot and crossing small streams here and there reminds me my childhood.time is running so fast and it gets dark...shabuj give us a ride with his little boat to our mother vessel..i was trying to help shabuj by plying the boat on water.
a real adventures day ends with an Iftar party with all crews on our mother vessel.
