judging photo carnival

AUW National Photo Carnival 2013 was held on April 5-6, by the Photography club of Asian University for Women (AUW). Among hundreds of photo entries, 50 photographs were selected by judges M R Hasan and Jashim Salam, both of whom are internationally recognised photographers. Among the 50 photographs, the winning photograph was by Javed Miandad. Another photograph was given special appreciation, which was by Md Mahbub Hossain Khan. The carnival kicked off with an opening ceremony. Speeches were given by VC Fahima Aziz who conveyed gratitude to the co-sponsors, President of Photography club Banazeer Yaqoob, and representatives from the co-sponsoring organisations. The carnival was co-sponsored by Rotary Club of Chittagong City, Rotary Club of Chittagong Mahanagar, and Artland, who wished continuous progress of the club and expressed their will to work with this club in the coming years. The special attraction of the carnival was the Photo-adda on both days with Jashim Salam.
